Dolphin Quest on the Caribbean island of Bermuda is a show facility with dolphins. Visitors can get up close and personal with the friendly marine mammals and experience them in their natural environment.
Do you have a list of things you want to experience before you die? Is "swimming with dolphins" on that list? If so, and of course otherwise, if you want to live this unique experience, you have come to the right place on the Caribbean island of Bermuda at Dolphin Quest! At Dolphin Quest, visitors can get up close and personal with dolphins and experience the gentle marine mammals live in their natural environment.
Dolphin Quest opened its first facility in Hawaii in 1988 as the only dolphin organisation organised and operated by veterinarians. Dolphin Quest in Bermuda has been around since 1996 and has been growing in popularity ever since. After falling victim to a hurricane at the Farimont Southampton Hotel, Dolphin Quest in Bermuda has been located at the Royal Naval Dockyard on the western tip of Bermuda since 1999.
Unforgettable experiences with dolphins
Visitors to Dolphin Quest are offered an enormous variety of opportunities to get up close and personal with the friendly animals. Unique experiences for young and old are guaranteed!
From spectacular dolphin shows to a meet-and-greet with the dolphins including feeding, shaking fins and petting snouts. The highlight par excellence is of course a swimming trip with the dolphins. Gliding through the water next to and between these breathtaking animals is an experience you will probably not forget for the rest of your life. Those who may have concerns that dolphins are, after all, wild animals that feed predatorily will quickly be reassured by the trainers. The playful marine mammals show absolutely friendly behaviour and no signs of aggression or danger.
The reasonably high-priced Trainer for a Day or Trainer for a Week offer certainly provides the most intensive interaction with the dolphins. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of the dolphins.
In the Ultimate Adventure you have the opportunity to spend an hour with the dolphins. The same applies to the Encounter, which lasts 45 minutes, or the Dolphin Dip, which lasts 30 minutes. In the Discover Dolphins programme, you are on an underwater platform and are literally swarmed by the dolphins.
In 2006, the Dolphin Quest, in cooperation with Sea World, the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Brookfield Zoo and the US Navy, focused on the reproduction of the clever marine mammals - with huge success. The dolphins Luna, Nea and Bermudiana are just a few of the animals that saw the light of day at the Bermuda Dolphin Quest. Watching the little dolphins grow from birth and develop their own characters, not to say personalities, was an unforgettable time for both the Dolphin Quest crew and the visitors.
